October 1, 2012 – 8:50 pm
Anyone here for this meaningless game?
October 1, 2012 – 8:57 pm
Im in now and again
October 1, 2012 – 8:58 pm
Jon Rauch continues his slide. He’s either been really good or really bad this year.
October 1, 2012 – 8:58 pm
11 hits and 2 runs? sad
October 1, 2012 – 8:58 pm
acosta looked bad. Familia looked bad
October 1, 2012 – 8:59 pm
Really i didn’t see them.
October 1, 2012 – 8:59 pm
Wow. 6 walks for Familia?
October 1, 2012 – 8:59 pm
he was horrible
October 1, 2012 – 9:00 pm
I guess he was “effectively” wild
October 1, 2012 – 9:00 pm
like most of the staff, no control at all. theyve been talking about how its nearly impossoble to have this many walks and not be a blow out
October 1, 2012 – 9:01 pm
and rauch’s lead off walk killed us.
October 1, 2012 – 9:02 pm
stanton hit acostas first-pitch hanging slider about 200 mph into CF
October 1, 2012 – 9:04 pm
And there’s walk #9
October 1, 2012 – 9:04 pm
repirts of Warthen being safe just make me sick. Hes a rotten coach. And he wants Pelf back
October 1, 2012 – 9:06 pm
and he wants him to be a closer
October 1, 2012 – 9:06 pm
Im speechless.
October 1, 2012 – 9:07 pm
and there she goes
October 1, 2012 – 9:07 pm
Stop hating on Warthen. TC is the one to blame.
October 1, 2012 – 9:08 pm
Hes in charge of the pitching. Im done with Sandy and TC too, but neither are going anywhere
October 1, 2012 – 9:09 pm
and Hudgens. 11 hits. 2 Runs. How does that happen?
October 1, 2012 – 9:09 pm
It is the ownership, not the GM or manager
October 1, 2012 – 9:09 pm
It’s October 1st
October 1, 2012 – 9:10 pm
Agreed Metsense. But the GM puts em out there and the manager gets them ready.
October 1, 2012 – 9:10 pm
Thank goodness because we no longer have to be worrying about “meaningful games in September”
October 1, 2012 – 9:11 pm
Ha! thats quite funny
October 1, 2012 – 9:11 pm
I don’t get how it’s the owner’s fault that the GM gave out bad contracts…
October 1, 2012 – 9:12 pm
and in comes another crazy delivery side arm pitch we cant hit.
October 1, 2012 – 9:12 pm
I mean, you can blame him for not spending enough money. But not for having players such as Santana and Bay…
October 1, 2012 – 9:12 pm
what bad contract did Sandy give out?
October 1, 2012 – 9:13 pm
Niese is a good contract.
October 1, 2012 – 9:14 pm
Rauch, FF, Ramirez, Torres
October 1, 2012 – 9:14 pm
Ramirez & Torres were arb cases
October 1, 2012 – 9:15 pm
Not sandy, Omar
October 1, 2012 – 9:15 pm
Well, trades that were lousy
October 1, 2012 – 9:15 pm
If anything, we should blaming him.
October 1, 2012 – 9:15 pm
Lots of blame to go around. Im just so staggered that 11 hits brings home 2
October 1, 2012 – 9:16 pm
Omar gave away the house without a long term plan
October 1, 2012 – 9:16 pm
Right, so why do people put all the blame on Wilpon when this is mostly a product of Omar’s work.
October 1, 2012 – 9:17 pm
He cut 50M$
October 1, 2012 – 9:17 pm
This team needs some shaking up.
October 1, 2012 – 9:17 pm
Oh Metsense, on that you have a full partner in crime with me
October 1, 2012 – 9:18 pm
Spending an extra $50 mil guarnatees you nothing. Look at the Angels, Tigers… Yankees, need i say more?
October 1, 2012 – 9:18 pm
It’s not about total spending. It’s about getting the most bang for yer buck.
October 1, 2012 – 9:19 pm
Sadly, Im expecting just more minor off season stuff, and a treading water 75 W season next year.
October 1, 2012 – 9:19 pm
I think long term FA contracts for oodles of money is not the way to go
October 1, 2012 – 9:19 pm
Sure, but: Yankees in 1st Place, going to playoffs. Tigers in 1st place going to playoffs
October 1, 2012 – 9:20 pm
I dont know Metsense. Bay, Santana and the string of losers we have signed on say that. But the Yankees have been in the playoffs 17 of last 18 seasons
October 1, 2012 – 9:22 pm
Yankees are struggling for 1st place, and Tigers really don’t deserve to go to the playoffs with that record…
October 1, 2012 – 9:22 pm
Short term FA contracts are OK to fill immediate needs. Trades that get some of our players at the right position. Leave the Starting pitching alone until we are guaranteed there is depth.
October 1, 2012 – 9:22 pm
but they are. thats all that counts
October 1, 2012 – 9:23 pm
did I mention we cant his odd deliveries?
October 1, 2012 – 9:23 pm
hit
October 1, 2012 – 9:23 pm
Only because they are in a terrible division.
October 1, 2012 – 9:23 pm
We’ve hit Cishek before.
October 1, 2012 – 9:23 pm
that doesnt matter
October 1, 2012 – 9:24 pm
and now Cishek has hit us.
October 1, 2012 – 9:24 pm
funny name!
October 1, 2012 – 9:24 pm
i’m calling 2-run HR here. We have the Marlins number this year.
October 1, 2012 – 9:25 pm
my optimism has diminished
October 1, 2012 – 9:25 pm
Have you forgot Shoppach vs Cishek?
October 1, 2012 – 9:25 pm
yes
October 1, 2012 – 9:25 pm
Look back to April – isn’t this what we expected going in?
October 1, 2012 – 9:26 pm
A long double could score Lewis.
October 1, 2012 – 9:26 pm
how so Metsense?
October 1, 2012 – 9:26 pm
And now a short double could score Lewis
October 1, 2012 – 9:27 pm
or long single
October 1, 2012 – 9:27 pm
im way behind you both
October 1, 2012 – 9:27 pm
Gary just said they snapped 7 game losing streak vs Mets. Can’t win them all.
October 1, 2012 – 9:28 pm
but we should have had 5 runs or more
October 1, 2012 – 9:28 pm
but so should the Marlins… 9 walks and only 3 runs?
October 1, 2012 – 9:28 pm
I only worry orange and blue Name!!!
October 1, 2012 – 9:28 pm
Oh well RA tomorrow
October 1, 2012 – 9:29 pm
So what we can deduce is that the pitchers today pitched well in the stretch and terrible from the windup.
October 1, 2012 – 9:29 pm
later folks. nice chatting.
October 1, 2012 – 9:30 pm
yes I’m going to bed – nice chatting with both of you
