Hansel Robles:  You got to see a “little” of Robles this Spring and while he got lit up… that was to be expected.  Robles is a slightly older pitcher who has succeeded at every level he’s pitched despite being built A-Typically for a starter.  In the NYP in 2012 he won 6 games with an ERA of 1.11, a WHIP of .784 and a K/9 of 8.2.  All of this is impressive but there are reasons why people will be betting against him.

Scouting: Robles is 5’11” and 185 Lbs.  So… he’s not at ALL a typical starting pitcher physically.  If he succeeds at the next two levels you may hear that the Mets are considering shifting him into the bullpen… it’s too early to say.

Fastball: Robles is blessed with a heavy sinking fastball that sits in the low 90s and touches as high as 95 MPH.

Secondary Pitches: Another slider/changeup combo but he’s got the added issue that the secondary offerings are too similar in speed to the fastball to have much movement differential.

ETA: It would make sense to start Robles in Savannah but also if all five of the starters there are doing well and only one can be promoted… he’s got a good chance of being the man.  He’s 22 this year and needs to accelerate his progress through the minors.
