Game 1:

Game 2:

  • Steven Matz – 7.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB & 8 K
  • Paul Sewald – 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB & 1 K
  • Beck Wheeler – 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB & 2 K

In short… the front three hitters in the Gnat’s lineup are all hitting and hitting well.  What intrigues me about the Gnats as they move into the finals is that they seem to have a tremendous amount of pitching talent.  Ynoa is clearly the Ace and Matz clearly has the best “Stuff” but they haven’t even needed to dip into Luis Cessa and might go with their three headed beast rather than throw out Julian Hilario (3.77 ERA) or Jake Kuebler (2.76 ERA)… not that either have been disappointing.

With AAA and AA out of the playoffs, the Met minors have one more week to enjoy with the Savannah Sand Gnats.

Sorry for the short post. If it’s a consolation the work has begun on a “Top Met Propsect List”.
