2014 TOPPS HERITAGE IKE DAVIS

It takes more than a simple trade to reverse a curse as pernicious as Ike Davis.

It takes an exorcism.

And as it happens, I am a trained expert in the field.

But I warn you, this could get ugly– pea soup could be spit, heads might spin, etc.

Well, here we go…

A Yankees volant pater tuus! Tu non noveram lefties! Traxit habe animum ciuitatem Pittsburgh descendit! I cast you out!

Ike Davis exorcism

I now declare this franchise clean.

I feel like the Indian in the commercial with a single tear running down his cheek while I watch a card being destroyed.

That ” Indian” was Italian- American.

Really? Iron Eyes Cody was Italian American? That would come as a surprise to him.

Ike Davis will hit 25 home runs this year, more next season, etc., and we all will have opportunities to wish he was still doing it for the Mets. Shame on you for demonizing a simple ballplayer.
