  The question on traditional stats v. advanced stats left me in a quandary. Traditional stats, to my senior citizen eyes, are still easier to compute and relate to. However, Brian has done a great job of convincing me that advanced stats are more relevant—except for UZR which is still too subjective as I understand it. A nod must go to Joe Poznaski, too.

  Absolutely fantastic idea! I second everything norme said. I still hold that traditional stats matter a good deal, but I am learning the value of certain advanced stats, which still sounds too snooty. UZR is growing on me. FDP-Wins, not so much.
