Farm logo - mets minorsRobert Gsellman at heart of the rotation race – He’s been good so far this spring but he needs to show lasting power in the games to come.

Gavin Cecchini still looks great – He’s hitting .500 but he’s also hitting for power and we know that he’s patient at the plate. Very little to gripe about.

Rafael Montero making bid to be relevant again – 6.0 innings pitched with 1 hit, 3 walks and 8 strikeouts could do that.

Amed Rosario still in line to be the next Met shortstop – He’s been good and will be up in Queens if Asdrubal Cabrera gets injured for any length of time.

P.J. Conlon has mixed results – On the good side, he hasn’t given up a run. On the bad side, he cannot afford to walk as many batters as he has this spring.

Brandon Nimmo earning his spot in Flushing – Batting .476 will do that but there are flaws. He’s not showing speed, patience or power.

Marcos Molina not ready for the bigs – While we won’t complain about him tossing up a 2.08 ERA we need to acknowledge the lack of supporting peripherals.

Dominic Smith still has growing to do – He’s been fine this spring but is showing the Mets need to give him more time before he moves to Queens.

Phillip Evans showing power – He’s got a 1.000 OPS this spring and hasn’t taken a walk. That’s both a good and a bad thing.

Tomas Nido enjoying his first taste of camp – Nido has a .819 OPS this spring and should be followed in the minors this season.

Montero has some good numbers? Quick trade him before the bad Montero re-emerges. #halfjoking

I saw Taijeron play some outfield.

Now I understand everything that didn’t happen last season.

Cabrera goes to third. Rosario takes over at shortstop.

Nimmo is batting .476. Even though he isn’t walking so far, OBP is one of his strengths. Looks like a future leadoff hitter to me. He doesn’t have to hit a ton of HRs.
