Young quoted Grant: “He has destroyed his market.” Grant called him “a headache.” Then Young took a solo turn: “In discussing Tom Seaver and his problems, we must never mix up the two Seavers. As great a talent as is Tom Seaver, he has become an irreparably damaging destructive force on the Mets.”
