This team needs a shake up. We need one of those press conference where it’s announced that a flurry of moves have been made in one day. Something like this. “Today we have activated Yoenis Cespedes and Wilmer Flores. Also at this time we are promoting several players from AAA Las Vegas. To make room on the roster we have designated Jose Reyes, Adrian Gonzalez, Jose Lobaton and Hansel Robles for assignment. Part II of this season starts now.”

    Guess what?…I’m still hopeful!

When the team was 11-1, naysayers had it right!…they were playing every games like “Game 7″…burning their Bullpen while getting short length and performance from their starters. The hitting was marginal—it was, at best, Fortunate.

You shouted “Lucky and Unsustainable”, and you were right!!!

We are about 2 turns thru a change in SP performance. Let’s see the Mets Starters pitch a Playoff Level performance against the Yanks. It will give this team the One unreplaceable anchor they need.

Add the “Baseball Card Performance” for Bruce, Confort, Frazier— and Pray for Ces.

It Ain’t Over Til it’s Over!!!

Shakeups usually don’t work and I think the season is to far gone anyway and I wouldn’t dfa Robles, he’s still young has a big arm and strikes out lots of guys and was good in 2015-2016.

The Mets are no better than the Padres sad to say. A couple of good players, lots of kids and hope for the best. Btw The Mets are only a half game ahead of them. Or is it behind? And with a payroll that’s 55 million dollars higher! What would you like the Wilpons to do next year? Or at the trading deadline? Besides selling the team.

A shakeup for the sake of a shakeup likely won’t be productive. But we should always be on the lookout to add productive players to the lineup. Replacing Luis Guillorme with Gavin Cecchini and DFAing Robles to bring up Jason Rhame probably won’t move the needle very much. But perhaps tying Alonso’s promotion to Cespedes’ return might. We can pretend it’s 2015 all over again when they added Cespedes and Conforto and got TDA back from the DL.
