The Mets’ losing ways continued Thursday night, as they dropped a 6-3 decision to the Diamondbacks. The Mets have now lost 11 of their last 12 games.

Innings eater Jason Vargas again failed to go more than five innings. He was given a 1-0 lead but allowed solo runs in the second, third and fourth innings. Unless Seth Lugo falls on his face, Vargas should be removed from the rotation once Noah Syndergaard returns.

The Mets’ bullpen was pretty bad but Jerry Blevins, Paul Sewald and Jacob Rhame aren’t the “A” team among the club’s relievers. Blevins is out of options but the other two should be packing their bags for Las Vegas.

Brandon Nimmo, Michael Conforto and Amed Rosario each homered for the Mets. Hey, if nothing else, the Mets scored in more than one inning in this game.

Baby steps, everyone, baby steps.

Another awesome performance, four hits. Four for thirty. Was today’s game a high for the month in runs?

Rod Beck changed his name to Chris and Alderson signs him.

    Oh, what fun.

So on a night where the Mets show a tiny sliver of life offensively the bullpen implodes and part of it is on the manager. Robles was rolling right along and had two left hand hitters coming up and has dominated left hand hitters even in the worst of times in his career, and Mickey decided to go to a struggling Blevins and Blevins did what he’s done most of this season and that is fail. I have no idea why Rhame was kept up over Peterson and why he was used down by one run with Gsellman or Swarzak readily available in that spot, but hey anytime you can bring in a bad one pitch pitcher in a key spot you do it. Hey at least Rosario hit a homer and Conforto hit a bomb and hit too other balls very hard too so that’s the silver lining on another ugly loss.

At least we doubled our hit total to four this game. Seriously, I would be inclined to fire Roessler and his assistant hitting coach at this point. Hitting coaches aren’t supposed to have a big influence but just to shake things up………..
And if the team continues in this awful state I would fire Callaway and bring Girardi in.

I think Girardi would be a great choice. I bet that Girardi could beat most of them in a 40 sprint.

Girardi won’t put up with Alderson’s and Wilpon’s bullshit.
