The Mets-Marlins double header scheduled to start at 4:05 pm, has now been pushed to a 9:45 start following a very lengthy rain delay. Not counting the vendors and ushers, it looks like there are barely enough people to fill a classroom in the stands. Presumably, the teams will look to get in one game tonight and a double header tomorrow (if Mother Nature cooperates), but there’s been no official announcement yet.

Stay tuned for a recap tomorrow morning, as well as some anticipated news on David Wright.

It’s a bad precedent if they put Wright before the team. Love him and all, but if he isn’t ready to roll at at least 75%, dive for balls and go all out, it’s not fair to the other players for him to be out there.

To clarify, if they bring him back for a couple of games the last weekend, maybe some pinch hitting stuff the last week, fine, since rosters are at 40 anyway. But, if he isn’t ready, his participation needs to be as little as possible, if at all.
