Monday catch-all thread (5/13/19)

Recently, the Mets have had more hitting success on the road than they’ve had in Citi Field. But early results in 2019 paint a different picture. So far this year, the Mets have a .777 OPS, led by a .428 SLG mark, in their home park. On the road, they drop to a .699 OPS, with 35 fewer points of OBP and 44 fewer points of SLG.

Michael Conforto leads the way for the offense in Citi Field, with a 1.131 OPS. J.D. Davis (1.080), Pete Alonso (.995) and Jeff McNeil (.952) are also enjoying the home cooking this year.

In 2018, the Mets put up a .646 OPS in their home park, with only McNeil (.959) and Brandon Nimmo (.822) having marks above .766 among the 15 hitters with at least 75 PA in Citi Field.

Cano and Conforto really should switch spots in the lineup. Conforto and his 17% walk rate ahead of Alonso would be beastly. Also Cano can’t hit lefties anyway and has a 34% k rate against them this year.

I’ll go further: McNeil, Davis, Conforto , Alonzo, Cano, Ramos, Nimmo, the pitcher and Rosario.
Nimmo with his eye will generate a lot of walks. It is a balanced batting orders in terms of lefties and righties. Rosario’s speed will help him and he will get more pitches to hit with the top of the order following him
