This will conclude the look at 2012’s contribution to the minutia of Met history with movements on various All-Time pitching lists

Leafing through the 2012 Media Guides, sees Johan Santana being 3rd in all-time ERA (minimum 500 IP) as the only active Met on the leaderboards listed (well, with the exception of Bobby Parnell being 7th in holds, but the source I’m using for the updated lists, UltimateMets.com doesn’t list holds as a category). Following an injury shortened 2012, Santana fell to 13th on the list, and R.A. Dickey’s NL runner up in the ERA leaderboard season brings his final Met total to 2.95 which actually replaces Santana for 3rd all-time! Also winding up his Met career was Mike Pelfrey who finishes 34th on the list, and Jon Niese’s year was good to place him 27th on the list.

Speaking of Big Pelf, he did not get a decision in 3 games last year, which means he is stuck with 50 career Met wins, which places him 15th on the all-time list. Johan Santana jumps out of the top 20, and is currently 19th all-time with 46 wins. R.A. Dickey’s 20 wins finishes his Met career with 39, and good for 24th place all-time. Jon Niese at 30th and Dillion Gee in a tie for 50th, also cracked the top 50 in the category.

Pelfrey being stuck on 54 losses, means he is 16th on the all-time losses list. Santana moves up to 35th, Niese 38th, and Dickey 44th.

Johan Santana enters 2013 on the cusp of breaking into the Mets’ all-time strikeout list, currently at 12th with 607, needing 65 to tie Craig Swan for 10th. Mike Pelfrey finishes his Met career in the top 20, at a tie for 19th. Both Jon Niese and R.A. Dickey entered the top 25, Niese at 24th and Dickey finishes at 25th. And Bobby Parnell upped his Met total to 235, which moves him into the 50th slot.

The flip side of strikeouts of course is walks, and Mike Pelfrey finishes at #16 on the Mets all-time walk list. Johan Santana moves up to 28th, Jon Niese to 34th, and R.A. Dickey 41st.

Johan Santana’s no-hitter help puts the active Met leader 15th all-time with 6. R.A. Dickey finishes with 4 total Met shutouts, and 23rd place on the list.

And finally, out of the bullpen Frank Francisco’s 23 saves was good enough to catapult him into 15th all-time and Bobby Parnell also moved up to number 18th all-time.
