It’s official. The new Pope will be Francis. He will certainly have his hands full as he tries lead the Catholic world while anchoring the Colorado Rotation with reliability. Jeff Francis may not have been the obvious choice for Pope but he is certainly an imposing lefty who brings a certain Argentinean (or Canadian) flare to the Papacy.
It is interesting to note that it was not an uncontested election as Pablo Sandoval was another intriguing option among the speculators. It’s likely that fears that San Francisco has made him pro gay marriage may not have sat well with the more conservative Cardinals. (Led by the injured Chris Carpenter)

While its nice to have the freedom to write things that you may consider humorous please pause for a moment and realize what a monumental moment this was for the Spanish Catholics of the world. I don’t believe those anyone who takes their religion seriously would appreciate your attempt of trying to find a humorous connection with such a serious matter in these chaotic times.
