In the spirit of the season, here’s a craft project that will add a fun and sporty dash of color to your holiday table.
First, we’ll need to acquire a card from a Tom turkey of a set. The 1997 Leaf offering will do nicely.
Then we’ll require a Meleagris gallopavo of a player. Take Alex Ochoa, for example.
Now, in order to trace our design, it will be necessary to secure the modeling services of someone with extremely small hands.
I find that young children are in abundant supply for these purposes, with the caveat that they tend toward fidgety and obstreperous behavior.
It has been my experience that such children can be distracted with a nicely proportioned square of clotted-cream fudge, particularly if it is perked up with a dash of real Madagascar vanilla. I’ve also had great success with Montmorency-cherry flavored lollipops dusted with Wilton’s pink sugar…
Wait– this isn’t Martha Stewart Living?
Dammit, I have got to learn to keep my writing assignments straight.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from Card of the Week. Hope you enjoy the holiday.
Because holidays are a good thing…
The 1991 Fleer Kelvin Torve demands an apology for not being the featured card in this post!
