His uncle was an original owner of the Mets. Research.

Link didn’t work for me. But, I guess he could be… I was just a bit surprised.
Try this one Gus: http://static.espn.go.com/mlb/bush/family.html
Interesting Dave, thank you.
Did he ever bring his idiot son to Shea or did Dubya just fly over the disaster and look down at it like he did after Katrina?
Strategery…
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and noted sports author John Feinstein are Mets fans.
If everyone sang the National Anthem like Glenn Close, the sporting world would be a better place.
Snooki!
Another Mets fan that we could do without!
You have Nell Carter down twice…and she needs an RIP, I believe… 😉
Bill Maher is a huge Mets fan — and I think bought one of the small ownership blocks.
Great call…I will update this once all the comments come in, then we can do an annual review. This list was started back in 2008 on message boards, and I posted it twice on my old blog. I really want to get as many names on here as possible and make a great database.
Joe Beningo’s radio partner, Evan Roberts, is also a Mets fan.
Another TV actor who’s a big Mets fan is Modern Family star Ty Burrell. Here is Burrell on The Daily Show talking to fellow Mets fan Jon Stewart. They start talking about the Mets at the 3:18 mark of the video.

I will add Joey Beartran to the list too!
This list looks very similar to this one:
Chris, I put the list out in 2009 with the help of Mets Refugees. The guy on FB used it and didn’t attribute it. No worries though, it’s all good.

Ahhh, the joys of the interwebs!
Ha! Totally!
You know what gets me excited?
When the Mets play good enough that they become more important than the celebrities in the stands!
