1964: New York Mets purchased Bobby Klaus from the Cincinnati Reds.

1988: It was the low point of the regular season for the New York Mets. Ron Darling next got out of the first inning against the Cincinnati Reds, who sent 15 batters to the plate and scored 10 runs. Chris Sabo slammed athree-run home run, Eric Davis added a solo shot and Darryl Strawberry dropped a bases-loaded fly ball. When it was all said and done: Reds 11, Mets 2.

2004: New York Mets traded Karim Garcia to the Baltimore Orioles for Mike DeJean.

2006: New York Mets traded Jeff Keppinger to the Kansas City Royals for Ruben Gotay.
