I’d audition Swarzak for the role over the next two months but not exclusively. Next year is his walk year and I’m sure he’d like to put up good numbers for his next contract (good incentive). Lugo and Gsellman can both pitch multiple innings so I’m hesitant to limit their appearances. Maybe Familia comes back? Who knows? Other than that there’s nothing in AAA that excites me. FA? Now that’s a terrifying notion. Maybe we can do a closer by committee? The Mets already have 92 million committed for 2019 adding arb hearings it’ll be closer to 125 maybe more. The team needs a bat that will stay healthy enough to play 150+ games either by trade or FA.
