If someone writes an article about Player X – your comments should be about Player X. If in the article a comparison is made to Player Y – then he’s fair game for comments, too. If you want to talk about someone or something else, take it to the open threads, which are posted on Mondays & Fridays and sometimes Wednesdays. It’s not rocket science people.
Comments are going to be more heavily moderated in this regard. If you go completely off tangent, your comment will be deleted. It was one thing when there wasn’t a space to talk about what you wanted. But now there is. Use it.
Another area where comments are going to be moderated is if you give a vague, terse answer that does nothing to push the conversation forward. No one has a monopoly on truth and there’s not one author here who feels that they do. You don’t have to agree with anything that’s written here. But you’ve got to be able to articulate what you find disagreeable. If all you have to offer is “trash,” well that comment is going directly in the trash bin.
the season is shot . go to the park or shopping . 2nd guessing is silly
OMG, a 100 loss season! Who would have thought it back in March?
Brian wrote in early March if the Mets 12 games against Washington, the good guys were going to win the pennant. Well, Brian, Myself, Washington all miscalculated. Atlanta/Philly is smiling.
What I wrote is that the Mets would would have a winning record against the Nats head-to-head. But I thought that would be on the way to the pennant, so…
Very disappointed that Harvey won’t be facing the Nets this week. Drama aside, it would have been quite interesting to see how he fared against this line up that made Milone and Sanchez look like stoppers.
I don’t miss matt
Matt HarveY was mishandled by the Mets! Strasberg,Harvey think about it!

A couple of articles I saw on Fangraphs. The first one can be avoided as it concerns the 25-4 bi-annual party that happens in Washington, courtesy of the Mets. The second article is a bit of a fantasy on how the Mets can compete next year.
But, the biggest non-surprise I saw was an article in the NYPost that tied Bryce Harper’s free agency to inquiring about hitting in the bandbox in Philly. The article states that the Phillies prefer Machado, but with their youth and big city ownership, what if they get both? The Golden State Warriors of baseball. Of course, The Coupons do whatever it takes to field a winner too, or maybe just rebuild for ten years…

I figured if I’m going to be in moderation anyway for putting up a link, let me really earn it.
