This week has been a pretty good one for Mets fans. We beat the Yankees, the bats are alive and David Wright is making an improbable comeback. And, look, here comes Jay Bruce too. There’s still a lot of baseball to be played. What’s holding your interest?
Watching the Mets is weighted toward “advance scouting” for Me.
Focused toward 2019 with Conforto and Nimmo solidifying their games…Rosario’s development…. seeing some new faces like McNeill…. tracking Matz and Wheeler….Plawecki….. Bruce at 1st base.
Pretty accurate. Let me throw in bullpen evaluation.
When the season is lost, I look forward to the last two weeks of the season where the Mets can be the spoiler.
the 3 aces
Reese Kaplan watched the 51s and got to do an interview with Dom Smith

Not sure of Smith’s rule 5 status. If He’s not affected by Rule 5, there’s no reason to push a decision on his future status with the team. Counting off 1bmen and OF’ers, coupled with his specific outlook as a player may make him more valuable as an Organizational asset than as a Trade piece—but there’s no need to decide what he is and will be….he can continue to play and announce that result with his play.
That question that Reese asked about him and cheech discussing their status as “Fallen Angels” is just attrocious, in my opinion……”Hey…do you and cheech ever talk about how you’re losers?”. Awkward.
Mets are calling up a pitcher from AA, Daniel Zamora. Good opportunity to check out another young arm.

As if Metsblog isn’t annoying enough with all the uninformed comments, they’ve been hijacked by that annoying pop-up crap and you can’t read a single post without being told you won an Amazon contest.
Don’t think it will factor into his CY candidacy, but I just noticed that Max Scherzer is batting .296.
