We’re down to four teams – The 108-win Red Sox, the defending champion Astros, the red hot Milwaukee Brewers, and the deep Dodgers. Who are you rooting for? And more importantly, what free agent to be would you most like to see in Queens next year? Besides Manny Machado?
For FA market I’ll take Grandal as catcher. I think we’ll see a rematch of last years WS. I think they (the Astros and Dodgers) have the deeper and better pitching staffs. Finally this is for Gus.
What happened to your vaunted Cleveland Indian pitching staff with their superior numbers they achieved during the regular season?
My? Cleveland staff? I can’t name three pitchers on that team. I don’t remember bringing up Cleveland ever, in any context, other than saying I have much family in Cleveland and always loved going.
Their pitching coach couldn’t keep them on the road. Don’t worry, it will be worse against Boston’s. Boston’s staff is Sale, Kimbrel, maybe Price, maybe Kelly…
When you play 76 games in your division against teams that played .400 ball your pitching should be terrific. Look at their record against the Eastern and Western divisions. Pretty telling.
Pete – I was bullish on Cleveland too. I think they miss Ricky Vaughn.
I think they miss Mickey Callaway
You were raving about their SP War and I pointed out how poor their division was
I’m befuddled, or could I have forgotten? I don’t know their WAR, nor looked for it. I don’t even know the WAR of my own team’s pitchers, LOL! It might have been someone else, but, no big deal.
Here’s the thread in question:
Gus quoted a piece from FG about the Indians rotation.
Thank you Brian. I was just going through the archived blogs. Sorry about that Gus.
Yes, thank you Brian, those postings late at night are usually forgotten by morning, LOL. No big deal Pete, as it was only a month ago and since I posted it I should remember it, just didn’t remember saying it myself. But, I did post it…
And still don’t know three pitchers on their staff, LOLLLL
I think it will be Boston and Los Angeles. But, I am rooting for the Brewers.
My free agent pick is Grandal.
