With yesterday’s 0-for-4, Keon Broxton is now slashing .171/.256/.171 in 39 PA. He looks like a ballplayer. Unfortunately, he’s not playing like one, at least not one of MLB caliber.
In his last 591 PA, Broxton has a .211/.293/.402 line. You could live with a guy with a super-low average if he was compensating with an ISO near .200 but Broxton has yet to have an extra-base hit with the Mets.
Right now, he’s a poor man’s Billy Hamilton. And that’s not a compliment.
I was a guest on John Coppinger’s Burgerball podcast. We talked about Edwin Diaz and Noah Syndergaard and the NL East and a whole lot more. Listen here – https://shows.pippa.io/5c6f7e59ed8bb0b450e7f9b9/episodes/where-is-thors-hammer
