My opinion is that when Spring Training first opened most Mets fans were feeling very good about the team. Then came the injury to Jacob deGrom and the curious trade to add the second coming of Scott Rice and no longer was their over-brimming confidence. Then the team started the year on the road and went 5-2 against two division rivals, a stretch that could have been 7-0, as they entered the eighth inning in both losses with the lead. The starting pitching has been electric and the lineup is hitting with runners in scoring position like we haven’t seen in ages. It’s a fabulous 1-2 punch that a team could ride a long way.

But crazy things can happen in seven games. Is this the new reality or is it just a streak where a lot of things are going right? Have the results of seven games changed how you feel about this year’s team?
