From SNY:
“Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor spoke about the team’s 7-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves. Lindor acknowledged that “they play better than us every single time we play them.” He expressed the added disappointment of struggling against a division opponent.”
Pretty sobering comment there by Lindor. Of the 26 roster spots, the Mets may match-up or win five at most: Lindor, Senga, Alonso, Nimmo, and McNeil is a stretch in LF as a match-up, but anywhere near Albies at 2B. That leaves the Mets trailing in 21-22 positions. DH is a blowout. RF is no contest. 3B is a TKO. Pretty sad.
The second paragraph was my opinion, not part of the SNY piece. In fact, the whole SNY piece was that one paragraph. Well done by their editors to leave the quote as the stand alone subject matter.
Yeah Gus, This team is a light year behind the Braves. It makes me think what an anomaly last year was .
The Mets have lost the last 6 series against the Braves
The Braves are exactly who we thought they were.
The Braves are who Mets fans think the Mets are.
