There’s a new feature at the site where you can upload items to your comments, including video. This is a test and please do not abuse this and post stupid stuff. The first time this was used was a comment today (Saturday) on Friday’s projection piece. I added a comment with video showing Sean Manaea pitching at Driveline.
All posts with these uploads will go to moderation and will not hit the site immediately. I will delete anything that in my estimation is not important.
The last thing I want is to be one of those sites that just has GIFs in the comments section, with 90% of them being both stupid and lazy.
Think 3X before including an upload. Is it informative? Does it provide value to a topic discussed in the article? Is it suitable for children or a work environment? If it doesn’t pass all three tests – don’t include it!
And even if it does pass those tests, it’s still subject to my approval, which will be based on how I feel at the moment I view it. And it’s not at all unusual for me to have a bad day.
Again, this is a test run. I see the potential here to add great value to the site. I also see the potential for this to be a nightmare. If it’s the latter, I’ll remove the feature.
LOLLLLL, tell us how you really feel.
My first contribution would be the article from the Mets director of player personnel. It was a subscription piece but somehow I got it without having one and it’s still open in one of my tabs. I could take pictures of it and submit? Or, just email it to you?
Sounds good. Couldn’t even put a smiley face in a post before as it simply did not show up.
Oh well. It didn’t show up.
Can we get the editing feature back again?
No
In order to post something stupid and irrelevant, I need no help from gifs or mp4s
Just proved my point
