“Again, SNY seems too eager to use roving Mets game reporter Kevin Burkhardt to the detriment of all. Burkhardt is too good to be allowed to be known as an intruder, especially during telecasts of close games that need no enhancements or audience-holders.”

Amen, Mushnick, amen. The only thing to add is that this is never welcome unless the game is an absolute blowout.

Call me crazy, but I don’t really like Kevin when he’s a full-time guy. They put him in the booth a few games last year and he just wasn’t as good as he is around the stadium. Maybe there’s a happy medium somewhere…

KB is better than many on a full call, its just he’s competing again GKR, which is impossible, so he looks not great. After watching the Mets on ESPN, he a long stretch better than the drivel we get there!

On a similar note, I had the distinct displeasure of listing to a few innings of a yankees game in the car with Sterling and whats her name on the call. Wow, talk about terrible. We may not have the best team, but in the booth, TV or radio, we sure do!

Call me crazy, but I like the view he brings from the field. To each his own I guess.

Let’s look at the bright side. If Kevin leaves and he probably will, why not a chick with a great bod? Think about all those boring games last season. Wouldn’t a terrific looking chick liven things up? They do it in football, why not baseball? In football they stick with the chicks even when they get old let’s change them every season. The Reingold Girls, or Coor Girls, or the Tool Girl (remember Pam Anderson) on that old sit com come to mind.

Great idea bro! Football has long been ahead of baseball in giving the casual and the diehard fan what they want. Cheerleaders, good looking sideline reporters and even good looking babes on pre game shows with weather updates. A sideline reporter like Erin Andrews makes a lot of sense. Shorts one day, cute sun dresses, halter tops etc would make some of those dull games much more interesting.
