Yesterday we unveiled our new header image, which included a border collage of some non-Mets things that I enjoy. The images are small, as to not detract too much from the focus of the site. A couple of people commented on the images and loyal reader Metsense suggested that we have a contest.
There are 32 images on the border collage. If by 11:59 p.m. Monday night, we get 10 entries that get at least 16 images right, I’ll send the individual with the most correct guesses either a copy of R.A. Dickey’s “Wherever I Wind Up” book (the updated version with the new epilogue) or $10 via PayPal. If multiple people tie for first, the quickest responder will get his/her choice of the two and the second-fastest will get the other. If somehow more than two people tie, the other(s) will have to be satisfied with a hearty “Good Job!” from me.
Image creator Dave Stark is not eligible for this contest but everyone else, including writers for the site, can win the grand prize.
If we get fewer than 10 entries with at least 16 images right, we’ll name the 2014 Opening Day Game Chatter after the individual with the most correct answers.
Email your guesses to: [email protected] and leave a message in the comments section indicating that you’ve submitted an entry.
Good luck!
I submitted an entry.
Know I got at least 12 right and guessed on 19 others. For the life of me I cannot see 32 images. It would be nice if they were bigger but that would take some of the challenge out.
E-mail has been sent.
Got mine in, too…that was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.
Sent. You got some real mysteries in there!
My email has been sent as well

Congrats Chris F . I knew you were a well rounded southern gentleman!
Ha! If only that were true!!!
Wow! Mets Opening day game chatter presented by Chris F!!!!
I was gonna guess Reich….damn! I couldnt stop thinking it looked like Tom Tancredo, but that just didnt make any sense to my mind. The rest I never would have gotten, but disappointed I mised the Botticelli.
It doesnt hurt we seem to have a fair bit in common Brian.
It all started with the Lewis and Clark portraits, which got me very frustrated. I figured they were painted by Peale or Stuart, and then I couldnt stop looking more closely.
Thanks for the mental stretch Brian!
Brian, I just got back from a “once in a life-time” Christmas vacation to Rome and Florence…and got a chance to see Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus” first hand — and it is incredible. Looking at the M360 banner just reminded me to mention it.
Outstanding and how great for you! Hope you enjoyed great food there, too
Indeed!
