In case you missed it, the Phillies beat the Braves to advance to the NLCS, where they’ll take on the Padres, who beat the Dodgers. Here’s a video of our old pal Spencer Strider getting lit up by Rhys Hoskins.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
It’s incredible how three teams that won over 100 games have been eliminated before the NLCS. And so were the Cardinals, which means none of the division winners will be represented in the series to determine the pennant. It seems crazy but it takes just a tiny bit of the sting away from losing to the Padres, so it’s not all bad.
I loved it. Loved it almost as much as seeing the Dodgers eliminated. Happy for both the Padres and Phillies as they have good teams that stepped up. Now I can watch the LCS.
Misery loves company, so I’m glad that the Dodgers, Braves and Cardinals are on the sidelines, too.
