My picks went 8-8 last week, bringing the season ledger to 41-36-4. Time to brush off the sister-kisser and get back to a winning week. Off to a good start with the Thursday night win. Let’s keep the train moving forward.
All odds from yahoo!sportsbook with the home team in bold. This is for entertainment purposes only.
Atlanta (-1) over Pittsburgh – The Falcons aren’t very good but they’re a solid home team, with a 4-2 record in Atlanta this season. They put up a good fight on the road last week at Washington but didn’t come away with the win. Look for them to win a close won against a Steelers team that’s starting to play better. Throw 25 Nobis’ on the home team
Houston (+8) over Cleveland – The Texans play hard and they’ll have extra motivation going up against former QB DeShaun Watson this week. Go 25 masseuses on the Texans
Baltimore (-9.5) over Denver – Made the mistake of backing the Broncos last week. Not looking to fall into that sinkhole again. Place 25 Flaccos on the home team.
Tennessee (+4.5) over Philadelphia – The Eagles went 3-1 in November but they didn’t look like a Super Bowl favorite, eking out a 1-point win over the Colts and a 7-point home win over a bad Packers team. The Titans may not be a Super Bow favorite, either, but they’re better than Indianapolis and Green Bay. Wager 25 Hentriches on the Titans.
Washington (-2) over New York – Two teams heading in opposite directions, with the Commanders having won six of their last seven games and the Giants having lost three of their last four games, with their only win being a victory over the lowly Texans. The Commanders play a lot of close games but should be able to cover the spread with the line under a field goal. Bet 25 Theismans on the visitors.
Minnesota (-3) over New York – Was all set to back the Jets until news came out that Kirk Cousins was leaving tickets for mini Kirko Chainz to attend this game. You can’t fight karma. Move 25 Ellers on the Vikings.
Detroit (-1) over Jacksonville – The Jaguars had a great comeback win that has many thinking it symbolizes a new beginning for the team. Better hope so, as the squad is 1-4 on the road this year and has to face a Lions team that just went toe-to-toe with the Bills and is not the pushover they’ve been seemingly forever. Roll 50 Porchers on the home team.
Chicago (+4.5) over Green Bay – Justin Fields is healthy enough to play and after the Packers were just torched by Jalen Hurts, that can’t be good news for their defense. Also, Green Bay is 1-5 on the road this year, with their only win coming in Week 3 by two points in Tampa. Feed 25 Fortes on the Bears.
Seattle (-7) over Los Angeles – The Seahawks had no answer for Josh Jacobs last week. But the Rams don’t have anyone like that in their backfield. In fact, it’s hard to say what the Rams do have at this point. It’s tough to see them keeping pace with a Seattle squad that’s averaged 29 points over their last five games. Flip 50 Alexanders on the visitors.
San Francisco (-4) over Miami – The Dolphins are riding a five-game winning streak but their opponents in that stretch are a combined 19-39-1. This would be a statement win for Miami but the 49ers have won four straight and are 4-1 at home this season, with their only loss coming against the Chiefs. Kick 25 Gossetts on the 49ers.
Las Vegas (-2.5) over Los Angeles – The Raiders have won back-to-back games for the first time this season and scored a season-high 40 points last time out. The Chargers have a winning record but don’t have a solid win yet. Pick: 25 baccarats on Las Vegas.
Kansas City (-2.5) over Cincinnati – The marquee game of the week. The Chiefs haven’t been blowing teams out but they only have to win by a field goal to cover. This will be Kansas City’s toughest game for the remainder of the regular season. We should see their “A” game. Toss 25 Dawsons on the visitors.
Dallas (-10.5) over Indianapolis – The Cowboys begin a stretch of three games where they should be heavy favorites. And they can’t let up if they hope to catch the Eagles and win the NFC East. Drop 25 Emmitts on the Cowboys.
Tampa Bay (-3.5) over New Orleans – The Saints have played well recently against the Bucs but they lost by 10 at home earlier in the year. And New Orleans is 1-4 on the road this year and has lost a “home” game in London. Fork over 25 Selmons on the home team.

Here’s the pick that was published before this week’s Thursday night game.
Want to pick tonight’s game but because I didn’t write this earlier, this week’s column will have to be in two parts. So, here at 7:43 p.m. Eastern, this will contain the Thursday pick and then this same space will be updated before Sunday with the rest of the games.
Buffalo (-3.5) over New England – Mac Jones looked terrific against the lousy Vikings defense. My guess is that he’ll find the sledding a little bit tougher going up against the Buffalo squad that is getting All-Pro CB Tre’Davious White back. Go 25 Beebes on the Bills.
