No, the site is not down. Just a weekend away in the mountains with crappy internet. Anyway, here’s what happened:

Friday – Nationals 2, Mets 1 – Another one-run loss that extended their rotten play to 2-12 in their last 14 games.
Saturday – Mets 5, Nationals 3 – Kevin Pillar hits two homers and Michael Conforto comes off the bench for a 3-run homer.
Sunday – Mets 9, Nationals 4 – Mets put up three crooked numbers en route to winning their first series since 8/12

On the booing and thumbs down:

Booing our hometown guys is bush, except when they are not running hard to 1B or not paying attention. Swinging at pitches two feet off the plate? I’m talking to you, Javier Baez! You just got here and you’re leading a thumbs-down movement! What?!

Pillar is a hero to most fans. Lindor is trying hard.

It’s a minority of fans who are booing, but I wish they would cut it out most of the time. But they won’t. Mets players should just live with it and recognize that most fans are pulling for them and not booing.
